At the end of each week there will be a milepost or check-in for the group project…
- May 17: Determine groups. By this date you need to have signed up for one of the groups, exchanged contact details, determined how you will keep in contact, and assigned responsibilities.
- May 26: Initial bibliography. By this date you need to hand in a list of at least 8-10 high-quality sources (articles, book chapters, books, websites) that you expect will help you in putting together your critical edition. You will hand in this list, and I will give you feedback on it.
- June 2: Annotated bibliography. By this date you need to have read all the sources listed in your initial bibliography (and maybe others, if it turns out you need to do further research), and written a paragraph or so summary of each, with indications of how you will use each source for your critical edition. You will hand in these annotations, and I will give you feedback on them.
- June 9: Midpoint check-in. By this point you need to have started writing your critical edition, and I need to see substantial progress in more than one area: e.g. its introduction, notes, questions, and so on.
- June 16: full draft due. By this point your critical edition needs to be complete, subject only to peer review and my feedback.
- In-class presentation of results and peer review: June 21
- June 23: final draft due. Submission of qualifying projects to the Antología abierta.
Note that you will be given a preliminary grade when you hand in the project on June 16. I will then give you suggestions for revision, which, along with the results of peer review, will guide you must be completed by the end of the semester. Only completed assignments that receive a grade of A will be sent for inclusion to the Antología abierta.
